Skincare Routine by Skin Type
Every skin is unique. Discovering your skin type and
establishing an appropriate routine is the key to achieving radiant and healthy
skin. Here is a guide to daily (AM) and evening (PM) routines for the four main
skin types:
1. Normal Skin
Normal skin is balanced, neither too dry nor too oily, with
minimal issues like acne or sensitivity.
Morning Routine (AM): Start with a gentle cleanser. Next, use
a Vitamin C serum for environmental protection. For moisturizing, apply a lightweight
cream. The most crucial final step is the application of Sunscreen (SPF 30+)
for protection.
Evening Routine (PM): Cleanse your skin again with a gentle
cleanser. Then, use a Retinol or Peptides serum to renew the skin. Conclude the
routine by moisturizing with a regular cream.
2. Oily Skin
Oily skin has excessive shine due to high sebum production,
often characterized by enlarged pores and a tendency for breakouts.
Morning Routine (AM): For cleansing, opt for a Gel or Foaming
cleanser. As a treatment, use a Salicylic Acid Toner. For moisture, choose an Oil-free
or Gel moisturizer. Always apply a Mattifying or Oil-free Sunscreen (SPF 30+).
Evening Routine (PM): If you wear makeup, it’s best to do a Double
cleanse. For treatment, apply Niacinamide serum to control oil production.
Finally, use a lightweight gel or fluid moisturizer.
3. Dry Skin
Dry skin feels tight and rough, often showing dry patches and
redness, and requires significant moisture and nourishment.
Morning Routine (AM): Start with a Cream cleanser. For deep
hydration, use a Hyaluronic Acid serum. Then, apply a Thick/Rich cream as your
moisturizer. Protect your skin with a Hydrating Sunscreen (SPF 30+).
Evening Routine (PM): For cleansing, you can use a Cream or
Oil cleanser. Use an Oil-based or Milky Serum as a rich treatment. For intense
moisturizing, apply a Balm or very rich cream.
4. Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin easily reacts with redness, itching, or
irritation due to environmental changes or inappropriate product use.
Morning Routine (AM): Use a Soothing, fragrance-free cleanser.
Apply a Cica or Centella serum to calm the skin. For moisturizing, use a Gentle,
calming cream. Finish with a Mineral Sunscreen (SPF 30+).
Evening Routine (PM): Cleanse with a gentle, fragrance-free
cleanser. Use a Ceramide cream to support the skin barrier as a treatment.
Finally, apply a Barrier repair cream for moisturizing
